It started with the vision “Women Empowerment”.
Various inputs and talks are given to the members present like finance, law, health, politics, future of the children, etc. Under Sthree Sangatan, self-help groups have also been started to help every woman in various fields, especially financial matters. A lot of trainings have been conducted on topics like health, safety, finance, independence in life and other topics related to the development of women in society.
Women are no longer the weaker section of the society. They have to stand equal in every aspect of life. The Bishop of Udupi Diocese stresses on the empowerment and development of women for better attitudes and values in life. Let us pray that this association stands as the safety corner for all women in the society.
Activities:
- All members are done with E-shram and Abha Health Card.
- World Environment day was celebrated by the members of two Swa Sahaya Sangh. Also celebrated Monti Fest at their Ward and celebrated world women’s day.
- Almost all members got the membership of RAITHA SAMPARKA KENDRA
- 14 sisters of our association got the membership in “Sugamya mahila sahakari sangh”.
- Francis Xaviour ward sisters started new Swa Sahaya Sangh on November 2022. Ten Sisters are opened their account.
- On Monti Fest day members prepared new blessed Novem (New crops) with milk and given to drink to all the parishioners who attended the morning mass.
- Most government sponsored facilities are acquired through our Sangatan members to the parishioners.
- Our Members helped to keep the church and its premises clean and presentable at most of the time.
