All Soul’s Day – 2024

All Soul’s Day of the year 2024 was celebrated in the parish with much devotion and dedication. People from all over the places visited the burial places of their family members and attended masses and prayed for the departed souls.

During the 8 am mass Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest offered special prayers and preached a homily. Death is a mystery of life, unsolved for ages he said. Only Christ Jesus the divine master who created and fixed time, light (Sun and the moon) and all that exists in the earth knows his plans he narrated. After the mass old cemetery was blessed.

In the evening Fr Pascal Menezes offered a mass at 5.30pm. Good deeds and acts of mercy only would come handy to obtain heaven he stressed. After the mass the new cemetery was blessed. All the devotees gathered in the cemetery to light candles and decorate the graves.

Sr Pauline Pereira SSpS, the superior of the convent and members from the Parish council were present.
