With joy in the heart, the people of Pernal welcomed Rev Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves so far the Rector of Our Lady of Miracles Cathedral, kallianpur, Udupi as the new Parish Priest.

Very Rev. Fr Charles Menezes representative of the Bishop was present to oversee the taking over the charge as Parish Priest.

Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest initiated the ceremony and performed the right of installing the new Parish Priest.

In his address, Fr Jerome Monteiro expressed his joy as he is succeeded by an able, learned, educated and experienced priest who would definitely can work for the betterment of people. He didn’t forget to thank the parishioners for their support and also expressed his delight over the faithful escorts from Kallianpur.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves spoke to thank Fr Charles Menezes and all the fellow priests for their presence. He also thanked parishoners from the Cathedral for accompanying him.

Sr Jessy Joseph SSpS, Superior, Kripalaya Convent, Mrs Leena Dsouza, Vice President, Mrs Cynthia Pinto, Secretary of PPC and Mrs Jyothi Aranha, coordinator for ecclesiastical commissions were present.

In a huge gathering of people Ms Shirley Andrade compered the program.
