Celebration of our lady’s Nativity – Harvest Festival

Mary’s birth is the reason for our joy said Rev Fr Ivan Madtha preaching a dashing homily on the occasion of Nativity feast. Therefore women in general, mothers in particular and every girl deserves a life and treatment of respect he stressed.

The festivities began this morning with a solemn procession of new Corn after offering the flowers to infant Mary at the Grotto.

At the end of the celebration the Jubilee issue of the Parish magazine was released by the founder editor Mr Alwyn Danthy along with parish priest and other celebrants, Mrs Violet Lobo, Associate editor presented the magazine for release.

This year marks the Silver Jubilee of the Parish Magazine and i appreciate the efforts, time and dedication of the editor Prof. Anil Danthy and the entire editorial team. Fr Jerome Monteiro thanked Mr and Mrs Simon Precilla Machado of Infant Jesus Ward for sponsoring the Jubilee edition.

Fr Michael Dsouza CSC, and Fr Pascal Menezes joined concelebration.

The prizes to the winners of Marian Melodies, the Marian singing competition were given away for the winners.

At the end all the devotees were distributed with new Corn and sugarcane.

Sr Jessy Joseph SSpS, superior, Kripalaya Convent, Mr Arun Dsouza, Vice President of PPC, Mrs Cynthia Pinto, secretary of PPC and Mrs Flavia Dsouza, head of the Ecclesiastical associations were present.

Prof. Anil Danthy, the present editor compered the program.
