Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Celebrated at our Church

The feast day of ‘Our Lady of Lourdes’ is a day to remember when ‘Our Blessed Mother’ appeared to 14 years old Marie-Bernade (St Bernadette) Soubirous for the first time.

The feast of our Lady of Lourdes was celebrated on February 11th at our Parish.

Holy Mass was held after Rosary which started at 5.00 PM. Parishioners, priests and religious nuns joined the festive Mass, thanked God for the blessings, which they received through Lourdes Saibin. Mass was celebrated by our Resident Priest Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes and Rev.Fr. Jerome Monteiro was playing guitar with our Church Choir. Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes given a heart touching sermon and thanked mother Mary for the first Miracle through Jesus and thereafter so many Miracles in the name of Jesus.

Liturgy was conducted by Ordo Franciscanus Saecularis (OFS).

Eucharistic Adoration was held and thereafter there was a candle March across the church ground exit gate, Sooda cross road and reenter from the main gate.

The liturgical singing led all the people to participate meaningfully in the Holy Mass. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro thanked all the devotees, Sponsors, Mudthoms, donors, church choir and Parish council members specially Vice President and Secretary. He also thanked DJ Sujay for providing Sound system and lighting for the Mass and adoration.

Convent Sisters and their unit members decorated the Altar in front of Grotto with natural flowers. Grotto was Painted, cleaned and face-lifting was done by  Marian Dsouza and Family.

At the end all the Parishioners and devotees were distributed refreshments sponsored by family members in memory of late Francis DSouza. of  St. Antony Ward.
