All Souls day Celebrated

“May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace”

On all soul’s day, our church held two Requiem masses (Mass for the souls of the departed) with prayers. Morning after 8.00 am Mass and Old Cemetery was blessed by our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro, Resident Priest Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes. Evening at 5.30 pm Rosary and 2nd Mass held at the church by Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes and Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest. After the mass a candle procession was taken to the new cemetery with priests and the gathered parishioners. Families are gathered in front of their loved ones Grave and offered prayers, flowers and light the candles on top of their Grave. After the Prayers at the cemetery, all the graves were individually blessed by Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro and Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes. At the exit gate of cemetery, a hot coffee and egg puffs were served to all the devotees.
