Catechism Teacher’s Day & Awareness Program about mental health held at our Church.

The Catechism Teachers Day celebration began with a Holy Mass at 8.00am by Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes the main Celebrant along with Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro thanking and praying for this year’s our parish dedicated catechism teachers and the adoration of the blessed sacrament held at the end. Whole Liturgy was conducted by the Catechism teachers.  After the Mass Awareness Program about mental health was held on at our church hall for the catechism students and their parents at 9.30am and lasted till 11.00am. Dr. Rayan Mathias was the chief guest and resource person.

Program be ginned with Prayer Sang by YCS & catechism students of our Parish. Mrs. Jyothi Aranha accompanied honorable guests to the main stage those include Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro, Resident Priest Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes, chief guest Dr. Rayan Mathias, Mr. Arun D’Souza vice president of PPC, Mss. Cynthia Pinto secretory of PPC, Mrs. Flavia D’Souza 20 commission coordinator & Sr. Pauline Pereira YCS Animator of our Pernal unit to the stage.

Our honorable guest Dr. Rayan Mathias delivered as meaning full and marvelous speech about awareness about mental health. He explained how the students go into Depression and commit Suicide He also said about how parent scold their children and do not let them become what they want to be in their life. He explained how the children under go for drug addiction and also explained how the parents should spend time with their children. He also explained about how social consequences are affecting our children.

A Memento was given to our chief guest Dr. Rayan Mathias and honor was done by Sr. Pauline Pereira YCS Animator and Mrs. Jyothi Aranha Health commission coordinator. There Were 50 members attended the program.

Ms. Alvina Nazareth Liturgy coordinator of YCS welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Savitha Mendonca member of Health commission Introduced the chief guest. Ms. Riya Mendonca secretary of YCS Proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Jenisia Castelino Compered the whole program.
