SCC Prayer Meeting _St. Francis Xavier Ward

The SCC prayer meeting of St. Francis Xavier Ward was held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the residence of Mr. Antony Nazareth. Rev. Fr. Jerome Monterio, our parish priest, along with the YCS and ICYM animators and members, were present for the gathering.

Mr. Francis Nazareth welcomed everyone warmly. Mrs. Lona Mendonca, the ward gurkar, led the opening prayer and read the report of the previous month’s meeting.

The YCS and ICYM members performed a Bible-based skit on “The Parable of the Good Samaritan” which was well-received by all. They also organized a few spot games for the children, making the event lively and engaging.

Fr. Jerome Monterio expressed his gratitude to all ward members for their support and for taking up responsibilities to make the meeting a success. The prayer meeting concluded with a hymn sung by the ward members.

After the SCC meeting, the members visited Mrs. Magadaline Mendonca, an 86-year-old lady who is paralyzed and bedridden. Fr. Jerome Monterio led a special prayer at her home, bringing comfort and blessings to her and her family.
