Fatima Ward Feast was celebrated on 12-04-2026 with great joy and enthusiasm. As part of the celebration, a Thanksgiving Mass was held on 11-04-2026 in the evening. The ward members actively participated in the Mass, took care of the liturgy, and brought the offertory as a sign of their happiness and gratitude to the Lord God.
On Sunday, 12-04-2026, the ward members and invited guests gathered at the residence of Mr. Edward D’sa in the afternoon to celebrate. The event was presided over by the parish priest, Fr. Jerome, with Fr. Pascal as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included the Sr. Veronica from Kripalaya Convent, Parish Council Vice President, Mrs. Leena Ivy Dsouza, Secretary Mrs. Cynthia Pinto, and the Coordinator of the 20 Pastoral Commissions, Mrs. Jyothi Aranha. All the dignitaries were welcomed and led to the stage by the Ward Gurkar, Flavia Mendonca.
The programme began with a prayer service led by Shanthi Dsouza. Everyone gathered was welcomed to the event by Flavia Mendonca. Members of the Ward Committe beautifully sang a cleared community hymn which showcased their unity and bond. This was followed by the felicitation of Fr. Jerome, who served the parish for the past seven years. In his speech, he thanked the ward members and shared his thoughts on unity and good wishes. Fr. Pascal, who also served in the parish for the last six years, was felicitated next. In his message, he encouraged the ward members to maintain small fellowship meals during Small Christian Community meetings.
The senior citizens of the ward were also felicitated during the programme, namely Veronica Lobo, Stella Mendonca, Alice Rego, Bridget Dsouza and Baptist Correa.
After the stage programme, the youth of the ward conducted a game of housie for everyone present and also a wonderful dance was done by them. The vote of thanks was delivered by Irene Mendonca, bringing the formal part of the event to a close. The entire programme was compered by Ashtan. The celebration concluded with lunch, which was prepared by the ward members at their homes. Around 60 people, including members and guests, attended the event.
