Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest was reached to his new destination today Wednesday May 20, 2026 and people of Pernal numbering nearly a hundred accompanied him to witness the installation ceremony as the Parish Priest of Perpetual Succour Church, Kalathur headed by very Rev Fr Charles Menezes, representative of the Bishop. Fr Francis Xavier Lewis, the out going Parish Priest initiated the rituals.

Thanking everyone, Fr Jerome pondered his stay at Pernal and lauded the support of the parishoners. Fr Francis Xavier Lewis also thanked his parishioners and expressed the grateful sentiments.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Parish Priest, Fr Rolwin Aranha, Principal, Don Bosco English School, Shirva and faithful from Kalathur Parish were present.
