Blessing of the Vehicles and prayers over the drivers/riders

Undoubtedly the technology has made a huge contribution but it also brings associated risks and hazards. Today Sunday, November 05, 2023 all the vehicles of our parish faithful were blessed and prayed for the safety and life of their users. Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest and Fr Pascal Menezes blessed vehicles and offered separate prayers.

St Christopher is the Patron Saint for the commuters and drivers. According to a legend Christopher was crossing a river and a boy child asked his help to cross the river with him. Christopher carries the boy on his shoulder and gets the boy across the river and he was less known that he was carrying Jesus himself.

St Christopher who carried boy Jesus on his shoulders may intercede for us with the same Jesus, so that all our drivers, riders, commuters and passengers are protected in the roads.
