Building Bridges, Bringing Peace

In preparation for the feast of Christmas, on this Second Sunday of Advent, during the Eucharist, we lighted the Candle of Peace recalling the prophecy of Isaiah that pronounces: I will spread peace over Israel like a river. We also remember the song of the Angels to the shepherds: Glory to God in the highest and Peace to His people of good will on earth!

To spread this message of building bridges, bringing peace and reconciliation with people of good will especially with our non-Christian families, the YCS students, together with members of Inter-Faith Ayog, invited to our parish compound, 15 needy non-Christian families living among us. We had a brief encounter with them in the presbytery. We became aware of their life struggles; it was a heart-warming experience to see smiles on their faces. We shared with them some essential grocery items. The YCS students, their parents and some members of Inter-Faith Ayog, were over generous with their contribution which is evident from the pics. We thank Fr. Jerome for his wholehearted support. May God reward us all abundantly and may we continue to experience deep peace in our families.
