Confraternity Sunday and Pre- festal announcement, adoration of the blessed Sacrament and solemn procession.

The parish today Sunday, November 11, 2023 celebrated the confraternity Sunday. Confraternity Sunday marks the beginning and initiation for a bigger celebration. It announces the upcoming feast of a prominent religious celebration. It eventuates a solemn adoration of the blessed sacrament and procession.

In a concelebrated High Mass Rev Fr Gerald Sandeep Dmello, Parish Priest, St Pius X Church, Palimar was the main celebrant.
Preaching a dashing homily Fr Dmello said, the grace of God is bestowed upon every faithful equally and there is no concept with God, that few are His favourite people and others are not. His cup overflows for everyone and to receive this cup prepared every time with prayers. It’s the hunger for His word that keeps us united to God he stressed.

Fr Jerome Monteiro,Parish Priest and Fr Pascal Menezes joined the concelebration.

A solemn procession was taken with a decorated vehicular chariot around the church compound with the Blessed Sacrament exposed. The choir sung the hymns to the Holy name of Jesus in the blessed sacrament.

Rev. Sr Pauline Periera SSpS, Superior of the convent, Mr Arun D’Souza Vice President of PPC, Mrs Cynthia Pinto, Secretary of the PPC and parishioners attended the devotion in large numbers.

Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest thanked everyone responsible for the meaningful program especially the donors of the musical band, chariot, flowers and students of the convent for decoration and flower arrangements.

Fr Demello also thanked for the opportunity given to him for celebrating the Holy Eucharist.
