Those honor heavenly mother naturally honors the earthly mother, women and girl children and nature said Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Parish Priest on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady’s Nativity on September 08, 2026. He was preaching a meaningful homily as the main celebrant. Quoting the devastation caused due to flash floods on Nepal, he suggested that we should remain grateful to our heavenly mother for the graces she bestowed upon us as our Parish Patron and also for keeping us safe and healthy during the past year he added.

The new corn was blessed near the Grotto and children offered flowers to mother Mary. The new corn was taken in procession to the church. After the Mass honors were distributed to the concerned. The women’s association distributed milk with new corn to all gathered.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Parish Priest in his address to thank all those who helped in smooth management during Novena and feast appreciated the efforts of Gurkars, PPC members, those sponsored sweets and parishioners.

Fr Evon Gomes SVD joined the concelebration. Sr Jessy Joseph SSpS, Superior, Kripalaya Convent, Mrs Leena Dsouza, Vice President, PPC l, Mrs Cynthia Pinto, Secretary, PPC and Mrs Jyothi Aranha, Coordinator for Ecclesiastical Commissions of the Parish were present.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves offered special prayers for the members of the Parish residing outside and working abroad wishing every one a happy family feast.

The Parish choir sung the melodies suiting the celebration. Sr Janet Rego SSpS assisted the girl children in conducting liturgy beautifully.

Sugar Cane at the end added flavour to the celebration and the same was distributed to all gathered.
