Independence Day Celebration-Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-2022

Pernal, 15 Aug 2022: 75th Independence Day was celebrated with great joy and pride in our Lady of Fatima Church on Monday, 15 August 2022 under the leadership of ICYM Pernal. The flag hoisting ceremony was held after the solemn feast mass celebrating the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven at 8.00 am.
Mr. Jeeven Lobo, President ICYM Welcomed the Guests. Mr. Marian Castelino, Koraje Ward who is celebrating his birthday today hoisted the tricolor flag as the gathered parishioners sang the National Anthem saluting the flag. Rev.Fr. Pascal Menezes delivered the Independence Day message.
Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro, Rev.Fr. Pascal Menezes, Mr. Richard Mendonca-Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs. Leena DSouza-Secretary, Mrs. Violet Lobo, Sr.Pauline Periera and a large number of parishioners were present for the flag hoisting function. Choir with Parishioners sung Vande Matharam Patriotic Song.

At the end Cake, sweets and Juice distributed to all the attendees sponsored by Mr. Marian Castelino and Janet Lobo, Infant Jesus Ward..
