Our Lady of Lourdes Feast (Grotto Fest) Celebrated.

The feast of our Lady of Lourdes was celebrated at our Parish today, Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the evening with a concelebrated high mass infront of the grotto of our Lady of Lourdes.
Rev Fr Walter Dmello, Judicial Vicar, Diocese of Udupi was the main celebrant. Preaching a meaningful homily he stressed upon health as a special blessing in life, not only physical but also spiritual. He gave a elaborated description of the Holy city of Lourdes in France where our Ladys apparition to a teenager girl Bernadette. Stressing on the importance of the family Rosary, Fr Dmello expressed his concern on the reducing evening prayer time in the families instead increasing use of media, hence decrease in personal discipline and academic deterioration.

A candle light procession with a decorated chariot of Our Lady was taken around the church campus.

Fr Pascal Menezes and Fr Valerian D’Silva OFM Cap, Director, Assisi Counseling Centre, Nitte joined the concelebration. The parish choir sung the hymns in honour of our Lady. The women’s fellowship of the Parish lead by its president Mrs Marina Lobo had organised a meaningful liturgy. Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest helped in the choir. Mr Arun D’Souza, Vice President – PPC, Mrs Cynthia Pinto, Secretary – PPC, Mrs Flavia Dsouza, Coordinator for diocesan comissions and Sr Pauline Periera, S.Sp.S, S, Kripalaya Convent were present.
