Pastoral Visit – October 11-13, 2025

Jubilee is the season of remembrance of Gods benevolence (Smarane), reconciliation ( Santhaapa) making peace (Sandana) walking the way of righteousness (Sanmaarga) and celebration (Sabhrama) said Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese in his homily after administering the sacrament of Confirmation to 13 young candidates on October 12, 2025. He called on to the recipients of the sacrament of Confirmation to pave the way for the Lord’s plan for each one of them and listen to the inner prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest presented the candidates to the Bishop and recommended them saying he is personally convinced of the preparation of the candidates and also have enquired the concerned on these lines.

The Pastoral Visit included blessing and prayers at the cemeterys, meeting and going through the works and achivements of all the Ecclesiastical associations of the parish, attending Small Christian Community (SCC) meeting at Saud Ward, visitation and Holy Communion to the infirm, mass and meeting at the convent of Missionary Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS), and overseeing the records and documents at the parish office.

The catechism classes were taken by Mrs Jyothi Aranha, the YCS animator and Rev Fr Pascal Menezes about whom Bishop made a special applause for their commitment in preparing the candidates.

The parish is grateful to His Lordship Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo for his guidance, grace and blessings on everyone at the parish.
