Platinum Jubilee – 2025:The visitation of Our Lady of Fatima.

The visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth (Luke I- 39:56) is one of the very best evidence of Mary’s presence in the salvation history of mankind and also in the passion of Christ. The joy that Mary carried with her visit made the baby in the womb of Elizabeth leap in joy.

Any visit definitely would bring us joy. As the parish is gearing up to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in may 2025, the idol of Mary is being set out on visiting the families of the entire parish.

The idol is made to rest for a night in every house and next day the designated neighbour would come to receive the idol to be carried in a procession to their house. Rosary along with litany and the prayer for the jubilee year has been recited. Hymns in praise of Mary are sung.
