Students are like a heap of clay in the hands of teachers said Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest addressing the Parish teachers on the occasion of teachers day celebration organised by the ICYM and YCS units of the parish. Students should offer themselves to the hands of teachers who would shape the clay into useful individuals he added.

The program was graced by the presence of Mr. Charles Machado, Retired Teacher, St Anne’s Higher Primary School, Udyavar and Prof Laxmi Bai, former lecturer, SVS PUC College, Katapady former teachers of Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro from Udyavar and Pangaala respectively. On this occasion, he also felicitated his teachers in gratitude for their guidance. Both guests, in turn, shared their personal experiences from their teaching years, recalling memorable moments with their students.

To make the occasion more engaging, spot games were organized exclusively for the teachers, which added joy and laughter to the celebration. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and as a gesture of appreciation, each teacher was presented with a small token of gratitude.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a group photograph, capturing the spirit of unity and respect that marked the day.
