Bible Gazovni – Proclamation of the Divine Word of God.

The parish today Saturday, November 25, 2023 witnessed and unique celebration different from the normal devotions.

The Gospels and the readings were carefully chosen to be proclaimed in this program that announces the assurance of God’s salvation to His people that was promised to all faithful from the beginning of creation.

The Wards took the turn to proclaim the Word and hymns and Psalms are sung.

To mark the beginning Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest along with Fr Pascal Menezes brought the Bible in a solemn procession and placed it on a high Altar specially erected for the purpose. The presence and blessings of the Holy spirit was invoked to increase the sanctity of the proclamation.

The culmination of the entire devotion was in the mass on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Fr Jerome Monteiro preached a meaningful Homily connecting the universal kingship of Jesus and his presence in the eternal word through Holy Scriptures.

The program was a joint initiative of the commissions for the Bible, Liturgy and Proclamation of the word. Fr Pascal Menezes and Fr Henry Mendonca SVD , a parishioner missionary priest in Brazil were present.
