Easter Vigil – Celebrating Lords resurrection.

Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the highest incident ever in the history of man kind because it never happened before jesus christ nor after Him, but only with him and will not happen again said Rev Fr Vincent Crasta, Secretary, Catholic Education Society of Udupi preaching a homily on the occasion Easter Vigil Mass. The only grave that was sealed and had been guarded was broken for Jesus Christ to rise again he exclaimed. The example of Mary of Magdala should be followed by each one of us in keeping the faith and act of kindness she showed in the history of salvation he added.

Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest conducted the customary rights of blessing of the new fire and Holy Water. The Easter candle was lit to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Fr Pascal Menezes sung The Exsultet initially and helped to increase the Holiness of this night and its relevance.

Rev Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest wished everyone in-house and abroad Happy Easter and blessings of the risen Lord. He also thanked all those who helped, sponsored and the sisters and their associates for beautifying the altar and sacristy arrangements.
