Health Check-up and Free Eye Camp Report

A Health Check-up Camp, including blood sugar testing, blood pressure check-ups, and a free eye screening camp, was successfully organised on 7 July 2026 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Pernal.

The camp was organised jointly by the Health Commission, Nitte Hospital, and Prasad Nethralaya, Udupi.

The programme was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonclsalves Parish Priest, Dr. Srinivas Pai, from nitte hospital andDr. Sagar from Prasad Nethralaya, Mrs. Leena D’souza Parish Council Vice President, and Mrs. Jyothi Aranha Pastoral Commission Coordinator

During the programme, Sr. Srinivas delivered an informative talk on healthy eating habits, foods to avoid, and the importance of regular exercise in preventing and controlling diseases. Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonclsalves also shared an inspiring message, encouraging everyone to take good care of their health as a precious gift from God.

The programme was efficiently compered by Crishel Danthy, while Mrs. Anitha Lobo warmly welcomed the gathering.

A total of 76 parishioners participated in the camp and benefited from the health check-ups and eye screening. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the doctors, volunteers, and all participants for making the programme a great success.
