Report : Anil Danthy.
The Cemetery for every Catholic undoubtedly a holy place. A waiting lounge for meeting the Lord. The crematory has always remained a place of sentiments and unique feelings for reasons more than one.
Quite recently the former crematory of our parish was renovated with a new compound wall, a new gate and certain other necessary requirements.
It’s a binding duty of all the parishioners to keep the crematory neat, clean and maintained all the time. As a first step, and also to mark the independence day, the parishioners took their time out and planted different saplings that would start to bloom out flowers. Certainly the parishioners took care to plant all season plants and crotons.
The environment commission and the commission for environment and Social welfare had taken initiative and quite a sizeable number of parishioners participated. All the parishioners brought plants, creepers and crotons.
Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest, Fr Pascal Menezes, Mr Hilary Danthy and Mr Fredrick Mathias were present.
