The feast of Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary and Independence Day was celebrated at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, Pernal. Rev. Fr Jerome Monterio was the main celebrant and Fr. Pascal Menezes joined the concelebration. Preaching the meaningful homily Fr. Jerome Monterio stressed upon the life of the Virgin Mary and about the Independence Day.

Soon after the Mass Independence Day was Celebrated under the leadership of ICYM. Rev Fr. Jerome Monterio unfurled the National Flag.

Fr. Pascal Menezes spoke about the Independence Day and importance of our National Flag.
Patriotic songs were sung.

Sr. Pauline Periera, S.Sp.S, S Kripalaya Convent, Mr. Arun Dsouza, Vice President- PPC, Mrs. Cynthia Pinto, Secretary- PPC, Mrs, Flavia D’souza, Coordinator of Diocesan Commission and parishioners were present.
