Good Friday Service – the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

Out of the seven last words of Jesus Christ from the cross, the words referring to forgiveness primes said very Rev Fr Roshan D’Souza, Chancellor and judicial vicar of the diocese of Udupi in his homily preached during the good Friday service as the main celebrant. Quoting the enormous examples from the historic Kandamal violence during the year 2008 he said there are hundreds of catholic faithful who forgave the culprits, murderers and evil cruelty. Forgiveness is the crux of Christian life he stressed.

The passion was read by concelebrating priests. The entire service was centered around the readings from the Gospels depicting the life of our Lord until his death.

Special prayers were offered for the universal church, intentions and good health of the Pope, Priests, religious and all those who strive to spread the good news to the nations.

Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest thanked everyone for the co-operation and attending the service in large numbers.
