Senior Citizen Club inaugurated at Pernal Church.

Pernal, Thursday April 4, 2024:

Senior Citizen Club was inaugurated in our Pernal Parish church hall by  Our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro along with Mr. Leslie Aroza, Director of Commission for Family of Udupi Diocese, Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes Our Resident Priest, Sr. Pauline Pereira SSpS Superior, PPC Secretary Mrs. Cynthia Pinto, 20 commission coordinator Mrs. Flavia DSouza, Family commission Director Pernal Unit Mrs. Anita Mathias, Mr. Valentine DSouza, President Senior Citizen Club, Mrs. Gretta Rebello, Secretary Senior Citizen club and other office bearers of family commission on the stage by lighting the lamp.

Program was started at 4.30 PM and the Program was compared by Mrs. Anitha Mathias. Mrs. Gretta Rebello welcomed the dignitaries and they were honored with a Rose flower by the members of Family Commission. Prayer was conducted by Sr. Pauline Pereira SSpS Superior, Mrs. Anet Mathias and Mr. William Correa along with hymn sung by Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes.

Under the supervision of Leslie Aroza the election was held to elect the first President and Secretary for the Senior Citizen Club Pernal Unit. Mr. Valentine D’Souza Elected as President and Mrs. Gretta Rebello as Secretary. They are congratulated and wished all the best.

Speaking on the inaugural Speech Mr. Leslie Aroza said, senior citizens are valuable resource of the society, their value based life being inspiration to all of us. He given so many tips to Senior Citizens how to live happily after sixty and also explained the government policies that made for the Senior citizens and he asked to take the benefit out of it. Rev. Fr. Jerome Monterio wished all the best to the Senior Citizen club and his usual help.

Mrs. Rosline DSouza proposed vote of Thanks to all the dignitaries including the Senior Citizens of our Parish. There were around 90 Senior Citizens who were present and became the members of the club.

The commission for Family of Pernal unit who arranged this program and served refreshments at the end. Program was concluded at 5.30PM.
